Troubleshoot Samsung Galaxy A51 Common Problems & Fixes

The Samsung Galaxy A51 was the best-selling Android mobile in the first months of 2020, and also one of the most pampered by the brand. This Samsung model has received important updates with functions of high-end models, and some other surprises. And of course, it is not without some problems, therefore we have this guide to fix some of the most common issues on Samsung Galaxy A51.

Although they are not generalized, it is possible that your mobile is going through one of these problems. Most of the issues are solved resolved while we clear cache data and perform a soft/hard reset.

Troubleshoot Most Common Samsung Galaxy A51 Problems and Fixes

1. Samsung Galaxy A51 gets too hot

The first option in these cases is to check that an update is not available since they usually solve these types of problems.

To do this, go to Settings >> Software updates >> Download and install. Once you select this option, the system will automatically check for updates and will tell you if there are any pending versions or if the software is already up to date.

On the other hand, another detail that you should not forget are the updates from the Galaxy Store. To do this, open the app, display the side menu and you will see if you have available updates.

If you have already checked all the updates and have not resolved the problem, then turn to third-party apps such as AIDA 64. This type of app shows you if there is a problem with your Samsung’s software and hardware.

In this case, you can take a look at the thermal section to detect any anomaly. And of course, take into account your habits on the mobile, if you spend hours with demanding games at a graphic level or you are fully in multitasking mode, you can cause the mobile to overheat.

And one last detail that you can try is to temporarily do without the SD card to check that it is not causing conflicts. Some users noticed that not using the correct SD card causes the phone to heat up, as it demands too many resources.

2. Samsung One UI Fails to start

This bug was one of the first reported by users, but it was fixed with updates. Every time they opened a new pop-up window, this message appeared constantly.

If this still happens to your Samsung mobile, check if you have any pending updates. And if not, the only solution that seems to work is to reset the device. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Settings >> General Management >> Reset >> Factory Reset

Of course, don’t forget to create a backup of all your data and files before resetting the device.

3. Samsung Galaxy A51 battery drains quickly

If the battery of your Samsung Galaxy A51 runs out quickly, and you have already checked that it is not an update problem, you can apply some changes in the configuration.

So start by taking a look at Settings >> Device Maintenance >> Battery >> Battery Usage. This section shows which apps are consuming the most battery, and allows you to identify any anomalies.

From there, you can apply a series of measures. For example, putting the most demanding apps in Idle Mode so they don’t work in the background. Or you can try the different performance modes to find a setting that balances the functions and demands of the mobile with its performance. Perhaps you can start with the “Adaptive Energy Saver” that will take into account your usage patterns.

Another detail that you should not forget is to deactivate all the connections that you do not use, such as Bluetooth or GPS, since they consume too many resources. And you can use the same app that we mentioned in the device overheating item to check for any hardware problems.

4. Samsung Galaxy A51’s camera is slow

Is the Camera app giving you trouble? Won’t open or takes too long to take photos? One of the first points you should check is if you don’t have third-party camera apps installed, as they tend to generate conflicts.

If so, try uninstalling it and see if it solves the problem. Another option is to reset the Camera app settings:

  • Settings >> Applications >> Camera >> Storage
  • Select “Clear data” and “Clear cache”

And if this does not work, then you will have to reset the mobile completely from Settings >> General Management >> Reset >> Factory reset. And don’t forget to make a backup before opting for this solution.

5. Samsung Galaxy A51 keeps restarting randomly

Are you downloading an app or game and the mobile restarts by itself? Some users have reported this problem and there is no definitive solution to this problem other than waiting for the bug to go away with an update.

But if your mobile still has a warranty, you can take it to the technical service or consult the Samsung online service. You can try a factory reset, but it doesn’t seem to fix the problem for long. So first seek the assistance of the Samsung team before complicating yourself with that process.

6. Low call volume on Samsung Galaxy A51

Does your Samsung A51 hear low when called? If it is not a hardware problem, the causes can be many and varied.

To start, check that you do not have a call recording or voice memo application installed that is causing a conflict. On the other hand, make sure the headset is free of moisture and dust by using a soft toothbrush for gentle cleaning.

You can also try a test to see if the speaker is working properly for calls. To do this, open the Samsung Members app, select “Interactive Checks” and choose Speaker. It will ask you to carry out some tests so that you can check its operation.

7. Samsung Galaxy A51 calls audio issues

If the problem with calls is that your contacts cannot hear you or the audio is choppy, you can try this test to verify that there are no problems with the microphone.

There are two ways to do it, you can use the interactive checks, as we saw in the previous items, but by selecting “Microphone”, or you can dial * # 0283 # and perform the test from the options shown in the menu.

When you select the first option, you will have to speak as if you were on a phone call to verify if what you say is heard in the headset. And in the second option you repeat the same dynamic, but check that it is heard through the speaker.

8. The keyboard doesn’t work on Samsung Galaxy A51

Samsung keyboard not working? Or do you have problems with some installed keyboard apps? It is not a common problem on this Samsung model, but if you are one of the affected users, you can try some of these options.

If you are using the default Samsung keyboard, then try deleting all the data from the app. Go to Settings >> Applications >> Samsung Keyboard >> Storage. From this section, you can clear the data and the cache. And you can repeat the same dynamics with any keyboard apps installed on the mobile.

If this doesn’t work, you can do a little test in Safe Mode to see if any of the installed apps are causing conflicts. If using the keyboard in Safe Mode works perfectly, then the mobile has a virus or some of the apps are causing problems.

And finally, if you still can’t detect the problem, and you don’t have an update available, try factory resetting your phone. And of course, do not forget to take all the precautions before starting the process.

9. WiFi is Constantly Connecting and Disconnecting

You can try different settings to find the problem. For example, you can check that no app is affecting the operation of your connection. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings >> Connections >> Wifi >>
  • Select the menu of the three dots and choose “Advanced”
  • Look for the WiFi Control History option

In this section, you will see all the apps that have activated or deactivated your WiFi connection, which will help you find anomalies. But if you want to solve it without getting too complicated, then reset the wireless settings. Yes, it is a tedious process, but it works.

To do this, go to Settings >> General Management >> Reset >> Reset network settings. One detail to keep in mind before starting this process is that you will also erase all the settings you have established for Bluetooth, so you will have to pair the devices again.
