Miui 13 For Redmi Note 8 Pro: Will It Officially Update?

Find out if the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro will update to MIUI 13. MIUI 13 is just around the corner, and Xiaomi will begin to update many of its phones to that version of the customization layer later this year, which is when the Chinese manufacturer would have it ready. At the moment, there are several phones that are known to receive it. However, there are doubts regarding some of its mobiles from two years ago, and this includes the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro. Is it going to receive MIUI 13? What is known about it? We look at this below.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro is one of Xiaomi’s mid-range that sold best in 2019 and part of 2020. Its features and technical specifications are, even to this day, apparently solvent to run MIUI 13. Despite this, by the time MIUI 13 is finally released, it would already have two years of updates completed, which prevents it from continuing to receive large and important updates.

This handset, at the time, hit the market with Android 9 Pie under MIUI 10. It then got Android 10 with MIUI 11 and, until not too long ago, Android 11 with MIUI 12 and then 12.5. On top of that, it has gotten numerous maintenance software updates, with bug fixes and system stability improvements. That’s why it’s not expected to get MIUI 13, because, as well as most smartphone manufacturers in the industry, Xiaomi doesn’t usually offer more than two years of updates to many of its handsets, which would leave the Redmi Note 8 Pro out.

Furthermore, the recently leaked list of handsets that will get MIUI 13 nowhere mentions the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, and more than 80 models are listed there. However, this is not official, but a point in favour to believe that the phone will not get the benefits of the new and upcoming version of the manufacturer’s customization layer, which will come to the Redmi Note 9 and, of course, Redmi Note 10, as well as other more recent terminals.

So, the short answer to the question of whether the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro will update to MIUI 13 is that it is very unlikely, not to say that it will not. Likewise, it remains to wait for some official listing from Xiaomi that will finish confirming what is already expected.

The Features and Specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro Make It a Solvent Mobile to Receive Miui 13

This is one of the things that will frustrate users of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro the most, the fact that it is a MIUI 13 worthy phone in terms of technical specifications. However, what interferes in this case, as we already highlighted, is the firm’s large update period, which usually does not exceed 2 years.

It should be noted that this mobile comes with a chipset processor Helio G90T from Mediatek, a piece that lives under its hood, is eight-core and works at a maximum clock frequency of 2.05 GHz. The GPU it runs on is the Mali-G76 and the RAM at its disposal is either 4, 6 or 8 GB. Overall, this configuration is quite capable of running MIUI 13 smoothly.

Otherwise, the phone also features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with FullHD+ resolution and a 4,500 mAh capacity battery that supports 18W fast charging technology. Its rear camera system is composed of a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and two 2-megapixel macro and bokeh shooters. For selfies and more, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro makes use of a 20-megapixel front camera.

Finally, because the Redmi Note 8 Pro won’t get MIUI 13, the standard version, the original Redmi Note 8, won’t either.
