Everything You Need to Know About the Latest iPhone 12

The iPhone 12 is not a rumor anymore. It’s here, and it is happening, and here is what you can expect.

Apple hosted a virtual event where they revealed the latest iPhone 12 alongside their new iPhone mini model, and iPhone 12 Pro and Pro max.

So, what do we know about the next generation iPhone so far?

Well, first of all, the new iPhone will be 5G ready, which means you can enjoy an incredibly fast download and browsing speed on your device.

Release Date

All the new gadgets and iPhones (except the iPhone mini)Apple introduced at their virtual event will be released on October 23. Pre-orders started only after the event, and people are very excited to get their hands on the latest iPhone.

Unfortunately, Apple confirmed that the iPhone 12 mini would be coming later this year (scheduled for November 13).

Price

Apple has been changing their pricing politics the past couple of years, and now we don’t know what to expect with their new models that they release.

The new iPhone 12 will start from $799 in the US, which is $100 more than the previous iPhone 11 at launch. That’s maybe because of the latest 5G technology.

Design and Display

In terms of design, the latest iPhone 12 will take you back to Apple’s greatest hit, the iPhone 5. The new model features a similar square shape design, and it looks very appealing.

The latest iPhone 12 will feature a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with a new innovative sapphire coating that makes it very durable. Also, the display is brighter and has better pixel density than the previous models.

Just as the previous models, the standard iPhone 12 will feature an aluminum frame, and the Pro models will have a stainless steel frame.

It will come in five colors: red, white, black, green, and blue.

Another great thing about the iPhone 12 is that it is 11% thinner, 16% lighter, and 15% smaller than the previous iPhone 11.

Just as in previous versions, the iPhone 12 will remain IP68 water and dust resistant.

Other Specs and 5G

Just as we mentioned, the iPhone 12 will be 5G ready. This has been a common feature for most Android phones, but it is something new for an iPhone.

The new phone can theoretically reach speeds of 4Gbps, which is blistering fast for an internet connection.

They’ve even shown us a preview of how this technology will change the way we see sports events, from football matches, to live fights between MMA stars in the BetAmerica odds.

Using 5G, you will be able to watch an NFL game on a live stream from 10 different angles at the same time, which is amazing!

Apple also introduced its new and re-worked A14 Bionic chipset, which Apple claims that it is 40% more powerful than the previous A13 on the iPhone 11.

They also claim that it is the “fastest chip ever in a smartphone,” which is a big claim that we need to test out when it is released.

Camera

Apple 12 will come with dual rear cameras. There will be a 12MP wide camera, and a 12ML ultra-wide shooter, and a 120-degree field of view.

The biggest change in terms of photo and video will be the new Smart HDR 3 tech that will improve color and contrast, as well as night vision.

Apple claims that there is a 27% improvement in low-light performance compared to the iPhone 11.

Just as the previous versions, the iPhone 12 will have a Portrait mode and will shoot video in 4K at 24, 30, and 60 frames per second.

The selfie camera is 12MP, and we don’t know more details about it yet.

Battery Life

Surprisingly, Apple didn’t mention any specs about the battery on their new phones. Maybe it is because we’ll get the same or slightly reworked battery from the iPhone 11.

The biggest change in terms of battery life is that Apple decided to remove the charger from the box. They claim that people already have chargers for their phones, and by doing this, they will reduce the negative impact on the environment.

Final Words

Apple introduced many improvements over their last-generation iPhone, and we just have to wait a couple of weeks to get our hands on the device and experience it in real life. If we make claims based on their virtual event, this could be the best iPhone yet released from Apple.
