There was a time when printed newspapers were mainstream media and after news channels came and become mainstream media. However both mediums are in good condition at this time. Most of the people of the world still rely on newspapers and news channels for most of the news.

Newspapers were my real breakfast in the morning. Now newspapers and news channels are sold to corporate houses and political parties. Now it has become a business at all levels. I was totally unaware about the current state of mainstream media. I was listening sometimes about absurdity of newspapers and news channels but never took it seriously. Thanks to internet, it provides an open platform with equal opportunity for everyone. Here every one is a journalist and every journalist is a direct news source. Now I can publish any news that I have I do not need approval of my senior or editor.

This is the reason I can read news on internet, twitter and Facebook are my top news sources where I read real news. News channels and newspapers take good some of money in the exchange of not publishing the news when it happens, sometimes these media houses manipulate news and try to misguide people, they try to skip facts. Many of the breaking news I never get to read in a newspaper, I find it only on internet. That is Sad.

A top daily newspaper suggests readers to play “Tilak Holi” instead of water-color. It suggests readers to save water and trees but it never suggests to save the country or to fight against corruption, it is very late to open the business houses, government and politicians. One can easily understand why they do this silly behavior.
