As Yahoo and Microsoft has its social portal Google also has its social portal known as iGoogle, it is not so famous as Yahoo’s and Microsoft’s but Google is working on it to make it impressive and adding new features slowly one after one.

Using Google products always make sense because Google’s all services are related to one another. And iGoolge is one of them.

Google is pioneer of the web but many of Google’s services are less known among users and iGoolge is also in that category, but now it is slowly getting famous.

Here are a few tips on customizing your iGoogle page so if use iGoolge then make it more personal more social.

1) Add Gadgets:
Gadget feature is iGoolge’s new feature recently added, you can click this link to add new gadgets. Gadgets are basically for entertainment purpose. You can add new games, to do list, social photos, time line, youtube gadget, Huffington post etc.

2) Add stuff:
There are thousands of stuff you can add on your page. You can add Gadgets of your interest news gadgets, technology gadgets, communications gadgets, life style gadgets. Click on this link to add stuffs.

3) Use your own theme:
You can use any of theme provided by Google on many of natures, but it gives you option to create your own customize it.
Use this link to create your own theme (if you are logged in this link will work)

It is three steps process:
a) Upload image
b) Adjust photo
c) set color scheme
d) Enter theme info including your name, descriptoon and theme name
Note: when you create first time any theme it asks for Google’s agreement which you have to agree.

If you do not want to create your own theme you can use many of themes already created.

4) Add new tab (new page creation other than homepage):
After creating a new tab you can add gadgets and stuffs and you can use different themes for different pages. You can set layout as one column, two column or three column.

5) Edit tab:
You can edit tabs, editing options are same for new tabs and default tab.

All gadgets and pages are customizable so you can easily edit or delete. You can place gadgets and stuffs by drag and drop.
