More than one month ago Twitter has launched beta version of verified accounts, it is in first phase. Verified accounts are provided to personal accounts with their photo, location and bio-data, who are guaranteed as real users not dummy or company account.

In first phase mostly celebrities got verified accounts as Britney Spears, Oprah Winfrey; Ashton kutcher; and first phase is just for promotion because we know Twitter is not making money but it has some solid plans to make money. And verified accounts are one of those plans.
We easily feel difference between verified accounts and non-verified, who has verified account on Twitter are defiantly big(public) figures or fishes.
Twitter’s eye is on corporate accounts, Twitter’s first phase of money making plan has to come, everything depends on corporate account holders response. At present really there is slight difference between verified accounts and non-verified accounts but we have to wait.
We have to see the importance and the cost of verified accounts, We have to see when second phase of Twitter verified account will begin.
Perhaps Google and Microsoft like giants will be forced to get verified accounts or they will get it free of cost? Or how they will response it, if they think they don’t need verified account then what will do Twitter?
What will be the difference between verified and non-verified accounts? Only one Badge above your name!? If it is the difference, I think it is not enough or perhaps I will be wrong again. Or Twitter will do something extra! If there will be something extra then I am sure more features have to come in future. When we will click on some special links, we will get message “only verified accounts”.
I can not say anything in confidence but I can guess like others and really curious to know more about it.
