How to delete Facebook account?

There is no reason to delete your Facebook account, specially if you have some friends, share pictures and videos. But still there can be many reasons to deactivate your account.

Facebook has huge privacy issue so you can be disagree with Facebook. So here is how to delete your Facebook account.

Go to Facebook and login.
Click on account top right corner of profile.
Click on account settings.

Or click here to go directly there if you are logged in. Now scroll down and last setting or option is to deactivate your Facebook account.

Click on that link.

Now comes the hardest part of Facebook deactivation process, you will be blackmailed emotionally by asking a question “Are you sure you want to deactivate your account?” there will be pictures of some of your friends including profile link.

So don’t be fooled. So if you have decided to leave Facebook you may scroll down for next step. You will ask for why you want to deactivate your account? Or just you want to deactivate your account temporary. And again you will visit here after sometime, may be you want to go your village and there is no internet connection. So if you choose this option you can again login to Facebook with your email and password aka login info.

There is an option for Email Opt Out. If you check this box you won’t receive any future email from your Facebook friends. So if you want to leave Facebook permanently, you are recommended to check that box. Otherwise your friends still be able to send you to join events, tag you in photos or ask you to join a group.

If you think you are well prepared and do not want to change your mind. If you have changed your mind then close the tab and never open it again or back to profile or click on cancel, in just right side of confirm.

If you have any page created you must transfer the ownership of that page or delete that page, if you have created any community page that will not be deleted.

If you are ready to go don’t want otherwise your mind can deceive you so click on confirm.

You will ask for your password and you have to fill captcha. So go ahead a fill your password and solve captcha.

So now you have successfully deactivated your account.
