50 Useful Firefox Add-Ons in 2012

It’s 2012, only two months left to welcome the new year 2013. Now it’s time for conclusions and left overs. This post is for Firefox add-ons which are popular and useful. I have some of the posts about add-ons. But gap between today’s date and those posts is getting deeper, and this gap has produced many new Firefox add-ons. However, this post is not only about year 2012 add-ons.

(01) Tab Mix Plus
If you want to do some experiments with your tabs, you can try this add-on. Improve your browsing capabilities. Easily duplicate tabs, control focus on tabs, undo close and windows.

(02) ReminderFox
This add-on helps you to remind things and complete to do lists. You can create lists, set alarms and alerts.

(03) Download_Manager Tweak
DMT let you made tweak download manager, so download manager can be open as a tab in browser and some management options as save, delete and open.

(04) Zotero
You can collect and manage your research sources. It has many options as collaborate, cite and share.

(05) Wisestamp-Email Signature
Email clients like Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook don’t offer attractive email signature options; here Wisestamp comes. You can easily tweak your email signature by adding your blog address or Facebook, twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn etc.

(06) AutoProxy
If you are a privacy concerned person blocked by a website, this plugin keeps you on proxy automatically.

(07) ImTranslator – Online-Translator-Dictionary, TTS
it’s an online translator of many languages, it also has a spell checker and virtual keyboard.

This add-can enables you to add and edit default password manager in Firefox.

This add-on helps you to search similar sites.

(10) Pocket (formerly Read It Later)
Read it latter add-on is now as Pocket. You can save interesting stuff while surfing the web to read them later.

This add-on helps you know about trusted websites. So if a website is not trusted you leave that site at once.

When you visit a website, you are being tracked by hidden cookies, so if you do not want to tracked you can install this plugin.

This add-on will tell whether a link is a link for website, secure, email link, pdf file, text link or image file.

(13) Simple-Mail
Simple mail is a mail client for Firefox. It allows you to send receive and notify for multiple email accounts inside Firefox.

If you are a blogger then this handy add-on is for you, you can blog without any hassle without leaving your browser, it is a fun, search real-time material in twitter and blog it with ScribeFire.

(15) LastPass Password-Manager
If you believe in ease of use then it is recommended add-on, you can easily generate password, fill forms, its like RoboForm toolbar but it do everything online, you can store your passwords and use it to login any time.

(16) Lazarus: Form Recovery
It saves anything you type in a form, so if browser crashes, server gets down or whatever happens you can get back what you have typed with right-click.

You can view and manage your download via status bar.

(18) Mozilla-Archive Format
Open web pages saved in other browsers, You can save many tabs, video and audio in a single zip file.

Most of the hacker hack a browser by using malicious scripts and this add-on disables scripts.

If you have slow internet connection, image loading can eat up your bandwidth, so this add-on will load only image that you want to see.

Fill out web forms with just one click.

remove clutter from web pages to ready them without any difficulty.

(48) AutoCopy
Copy any text on clipboard by selecting it.

(49) Click&Clean
Clean search history, cookies, Flash LSO, download history with one click.

(50) Unhide-Passwords
If you are sure no one is on your shoulder, you can sue unhide password extension to show password in password filed instead of asterisk.

  1. one of the problem with scribfire, it does not properly with blogger. and that’s why i dropped it. i use flock for blogging sometime. but usually blog through using my blogger or wp dashboard.
