I do not know if you ever tried to embed an MP3 file in any of your PowerPoint presentation or what happen after that. It sounds very good if you are willing to embed an MP3 file in to PowerPoint. If you think it is impossible then make it possible. It is not a new feature in Power Point but you can add this feature by installing a plugin.
PowerPoint supports wave files that you can embed as sound but you can avoid that task by directly adding MP3 files to your presentations.
