Download Free Posterous Themes and Designs with How to Apply and Customize

Posterous is an innovative platform for blogging, we know there is killing competition among blogging platforms, there are already many popular blogging platform, WordPress and Blogger are top. Making a place for new blogging service is very tough but Posterous is growing steady.

Posterous also understands importance of themes because it plays major role in blog customization, mostly people use Posterous without any customization with yellow and simple sheet theme.

To apply themes login to posterous go to manage section, there select your blog in which you want to apply theme (if you have a single blog that will be already selected), there look for settings tab that is on second place, there you will see second option is for themes. For help you can see images.

To customize a theme click on customize button, there are four options, in first option you can change name and description of your blog, in second option you can change color of fonts, in third option you use custom header for your blog and in fourth option you can enable retweet option for your blog posts.

Posterous has eight (8) themes that are official and you can apply them easily.

If you want to apply custom themes or external themes from external sources you can apply them too. When you go apply a theme in Posterous there is a third option for advanced, when you click there it will ask you to give a name for your theme.

After clicking on advanced and choosing a name for your theme you will see HTML field there you can paste your external theme template code.

The problem with external themes
when you use external themes it won’t work completely if you do not use your own domain and hosting also, because a theme contains images, graphics and it requires a folder to display them correctly.

Now it is time to get some external themes.
I am used to post resources in bulk but I could not find for Posterous themes.

Tumblr Themes also works in Posterous
you can use Tumblr themes also in Posterous but I do not know how to apply them.
