435,607 duplicate currency notes were detected In 2010-2011. This number is for bank branches by individual customers.
We read in news about duplicate currency notes. These notes make Indian economy dull. Once a note is identified as duplicate it is no more in transaction. I have not seen a duplicate note in my life but there is a black empire of duplicate currency notes. Distributing duplicate notes is a huge lose to Indian Government.

As we know the bank of banks in India is Reserve Bank of India. Reserve bank of India has created a website to make aware of duplicate currency notes. You can visit the website here http://www.paisaboltahai.rbi.org.in/ to read the security features in an Indian rupee note. Indian government has issued 1000 rupee notes, 500 rupee notes, 100 rupee notes, 50 rupee notes, 20 rupee notes and 10 rupee notes. There are other notes as 5 rupee notes but in the market there are chances to distribute duplicate notes for 100 rupee, 500 rupee and 100 rupee. 10 rupee and above notes have some of the special security features.

10 rupee note has 7 security features. 20 rupee, 50 rupee and 100 rupee notes have 10 security features. 500 and 1000 rupee notes have 11 security features. These all security features help you to identify original notes and detect duplicate notes.

On the website numbers on the note as you can in above screenshot, when you click on the number you will see the detail of the feature.

Anna SMS Card

The Anna SMS card is for only Rs. 25, after subscribing for this card you will get updates about the campaign for the year. This card is a non-profit card, cost of the card is Rs. 20 and Rs. 5 is for delivery charges. This is a scratch card, one card is useable for only one mobile number. Backside of the card it has hidden number that can be found scratching the card and send it to 9223334545, to get activated this card.

It is not necessary to get the physical card, you can pay for the card online via net banking, credit card or VISA and master card. And you will get the card number on your email address.

I have applied for one Anna SMS card for one of my mobile number, expected shipping date of this card is 24th April. The card will be delivered to mailing address. I have confirmed it on my email address.

TRAI Makes Per Paisa Per Second Plan Mandatory for Operators

TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has decided to make it necessary for all the telecom service providers to offer per second per paisa plan. A service provider company can offer up to 25 plans for post paid and pre paid users but for both postpaid and prepaid service providers are forced to offer per second per paisa plan. Some of the companies already have this plan. But it was not necessary, what we see is companies offer this plan for new offer but they kill in future. So now 1 second 1 paisa plan will always be for all the customers in all the service providers.

How Many Bank (Saving) Accounts You Have?

At present I have three saving accounts in three different banks. All the bank branches are within one kilometer area of my resident. All the branches where I have my saving accounts; are new branches opened in my area by respected banks.

When I had not a single account I wanted to open an account in every popular banks in India. But when I opened my first account in Bank of Baroda I realized it is easy to open an account but uneasy to manage. I closed my BoB account because it was away from my home, branch was always full of customers. This is not only me who wanted to open accounts in every bank there are many others.

When I was thinking to open saving accounts in all the banks I was unaware with the process of account opening and I had no enough documents. Many banks need an existing user in the same bank (branch?) for reference. So if you do not have someone who is already an account holder in that bank where you want to open an account, you will no be able to open an account even after all the documents are complete.

To apply for a telephone connection, an electricity connection, a bank account, a driving license you need a passport size photograph, an ID proof and an address proof. If you are a student you probably may not have address proof, there may be a home but on the name of your father. So it is not easy for most of the people to have an address proof. But if you can show the proof you are the son of your daddy as name on ration card and mentioned name on PAN Card, voter ID card then address proof will not be a problem.

Taxi booking service is now getting big in India. Most of the taxi drivers are just drivers not taxi owners. Things are same as before but there are some visible changes as things are going online, there are more business opportunities and things are becoming more fancy.

Why online taxi booking?

Getting a Driving License?

I haven’t driven four wheeler or car. I can ride bike and Cycle. I am still not a very good bike rider. If you know how to ride bike it is good you can take it with you on the roads for local journeys as for shopping and office or going to meet a friend etc. But if you go on main road as Ring road or Highway you need a driving license for two-wheeler vehicle or bike.

I do not know what is the process in other part of India but in Ahmedabad of Gujarat it is not easy. I got my driving license almost three and a half years ago but got my bike almost 6 months ago (thanks to blogging). I used a scooter for my driving exam. I did very well in computer for road rules knowledge because I was first and took only seconds to complete the test. But other process was not very well for me because I was failed to pass the exam of real two-wheeler test. The second time I failed as well but I paid Rs. 50 and the inspector approved me for the Queue of real Driving license. And it also took about 3 hours in standing place while moving in line with other people in same queue.

But the most painful thing was rejection of my documents. The officer who was approving valid documents, had rejected my documents for learning license.

So if you do not have a driving license and want to have one I will suggest you to hunt for an agent, because without an agent the officer may not approve your documents until more than double or triple proofs. I had gone trough an agent who provided me a book for exam and was with me in RTO so when my document was rejected he came and did some settlement with the officer and my document was approved.

So I had a PAN Card, a voter ID card, a ration card and LIC policy but it was not enough. However I remember ration card and LIC policy works as read on papers.

I have seen many of my friends do not have a driving license but they are clever enough to bypass the traffic police and some times they pay as well. But I want to say if you have Pan Card and Or Voter ID card, the agent can manage driving license for you. To contact an agent look in local area near your resident not near the RTO center.

Super Zero Pre-Paid Plans for MTS Users

Mobile Service provider company MTS is expanding its business in India with its new plans. Now it has launched a unique plan for its pre-paid users. Plan is “Super Zero”. Super Zero plan is specially useful for MTS to MTS uses.

There are three tariff plans under Super Zero. First tariff is for Rs. 17 it is valid for one day, with this recharge users can make MTS to MTS unlimited calls and 200 free SMS for local and national.

With Rs. 47 recharge you get 2.4 lakh seconds MTS to MTS local calling and 60,000 seconds of national calling for MTS to MTS users with daily 200 local and national SMS, this recharge is valid for 7 days.

With Rs. 147 recharge you get every options as Rs. 47 but it is valid for only 30 days.

“Super Zero” plan seems a new kind of plan, in future more companies will adopt this plan.
