If you are a reader I hope you would be a good reader and if a good reader finds something interesting he always try to share it with others so they also can read it.
You read every day new items something breaking or cracking or any interesting content or headlines that’s all good.
But please check back if you are missing something behind you, being a good reader you have a few responsibilities. And if you are caring already then you are really a good reader.
It is true 90% of top headlines and 75% of quality contents comes from reputed and well-known resources. But please check again if you are missing something.
Top and well-known, well-established resources provides us 90% of headlines and 75% of quality contents because they can hire experienced and expert peoples (bloggers/writers) to produce headlines, quality contents and long posts but that is not the end of thrill and adventure.
There is much more to found out something better than, after.
Many writers or bloggers are in blogging industry who can produces better content without upgrading or degrading anyone.
Many good writers produce good contents and headlines both but they never come in highlight because they are not affiliated with any well-established resource.
The same resource if comes from a well-known resource it becomes headline it doesn’t matter if it was copied from somewhere. Why this happen? Because most of us are careless, we hardly try to check backside of anything.
Some of geeks and bloggers are doing admirable work in this field to promote and find new faces of future, but I am not mentioning any of them here. There should be others also who would be doing this great job but I don’t know them. I would like to thank all of them.
It is good to share any good content from any resource but it is not enough because this ‘any’ is always limited to top sources, it never goes to any common (fairly small) resource.
The web is full of zombies, so try to find new resources and highlight and promote them because if you rely on one you can rely forever.

One of the worst things about a small number creating high quality content is that the rest will then simple rewrite it and publish it on their own blog. Hopefully they will mention you but more often than not they don’t. I think this is one of the reasons people are more willing to link to famous bloggers, since they think they come up with everything by themselves.
Personally I think it’s a good idea to mention other small people within your niche since there’s a chance that they grow big sometime. If you have a good relationship with those you will get attention back in the future.
