TechShali have reached 1200+ likes on Facebook so Facebook decided to give me coupon of Rs 1500 for free to promote my page on Facebook via Facebook ads.

So we know about Facebook ads. Face book want to monetize itself by Facebook ads. And sure it want to take on Google Adwords.

Facebook ads can be created for various things as an URL, a page, an application, events, places, domain or Facebook URLs.

So I decided to choose free promotion for TechShali. If you are interested you can like TechShali on Facebook here.

If you also want to create an ad for your page or URL you can go here. Once you have chosen a page you can set a sponsored story or ad. If you have decided to promote a page you can set to promote your page or a post on your page.

Now, next section is not easy to describe here, you have so many options to customize your ad and choose your audience.

If you want to promote a page you have two options; a new ad about the page or stories about their friends liking on the page. If you choose second option, you can choose to promote your ad to right audience, so you can set your country. state city, pin code, so only right audience will see your ad. Facebook has a super filter for your ads, so only right person will see your ads.

Final section is about placing order  but before this you have to choose the objective of your ad, if you want your audience to like your page, you will be charged every time someone sees your page, if you choose click on your ad or sponsored story then you will be charged every time someone clicks on your ad.

Finally, if you want to get likes for your page you should choose “like my page” objective if you want to promote a website URL you should choose “click on my ad or sponsored history” objective.

Before placing your order you can review your ad.

So I placed an order but there was an error, there was no funding source so I must have to add a funding source. So by default, I am redirected to ad review section, here I again click on the “place order”. So I am asked to add a funding source using my any of credit card or my PayPal account, credit card is already selected I click on “Okay”. So in next screen I have place an order using my credit card but on this screen at the bottom the form there is a link for coupon codes “I have a coupon code to redeem”, so I just click on that. A new field to add coupon code was created but as you know my credit card is blocked, so I can’t place an order at this time. So if you add your card as a funding source, your coupon code about will be used until the coupon expires. But if you go after your coupon expires, amount be charged from funding source.

Please enter your coupon code below, and we will charge the coupon instead of your credit card until the coupon expires or is used up. If you let your ad run after that point, we will begin to charge your credit card.
