India is second largest country in the world after China in population, so every web based service is seeing a big market in India, so Google, Yahoo and MSN like giants has started Indian version of their services. Facebook and Twitter like social networking sites are getting stronger in India and now giving tough competition to native social networking sites. Orkut is still at top in networking sites but Facebook is near to catch it.

In India there are many social networking sites but it is better not to mention them in this list

Anyway I have found some Indian social networking sites specially for Indian users. Which are doing great.

(1) Ibibo
Ibibo is founded by a South African company but is specially for Indian peoples, more than 90% it receives from India. Orkut gets 98% of traffic from India but it is India version of Orkut so I am not going to mention Orkut in this list. And you can take it as a top Indian networking site receiving more than 100K unique visitor every month.
Ibibo is mixture Facebook and MySpace but it more like Facebook in functions.

As Facebook has third party apps for many functions Indyarocks has its own inbuilt features for similar functionality.

Biggest thing in the bigadda is its “Addas”, an adda is a place where people gathers and talk on any subject but Bigadda’s addas are more smart than its regular meaning, every adda has its own theme and nature; and like minded people can join them.

Fropper is known as dating come social networking site but dating section is separated from regular section so dating section is specially for dating.
