FTP programs are short form of File Transfer Protocol. You can use FTP programs for uploading files on internet from your computer. If you have a self hosted website or blog, you already will be using one of your favourite FTP client. I use FileZilla for uploading files. This is most popular FTP program. Free FTP programs are good and there is no need of buying professional programs. I don’t mind if you prefer to buy any.
FileZilla
Filzilla is free and open source FTP program. It has lite interface and easy to use and understand. It is my favourite FTP program.
AceFTP
Ace FTP is a freeware program.
FireFTP
Fire FTP is a Firefox Add-on. It is specially for file uploading.
Winscp
Winscp is also open source FTP program.
CoreFTP
Core FTP is also a free program.
Tunnelier
Tunnelier is free but only for personal use, so it is listed in this list.
cURL
cURl is also a free FTP program.

My favorite among the list is FileZilla. It’s easy to use and there’s a lot of support compared to other ftp programs.
