6 Online Office Suites For Free

This post is not the next part of my last written post where I talked about 23 online photo editing tools for free but this post is also about free and online, about online office suites.
Microsoft’s off-line office is a great productivity suite but there are two minus points about Microsoft’s off-line suite (1) You can not carry it everywhere with you. (2) It is very costly.
So what are the options for both minus points. There is one answer “Online Office Suites”. Online office suites are free and you do not have to carry.

I have found 6 online office suites, some are powerful suites are some are basic but all are free.

(1) Zoho
Zoho office suite is most powerful and most admired online office suite. It contains writer, spread sheet, presentations, database, notes, wikis, project management and other applications.
Launched in 2005.
Zoho is continuously working on it o improve user experience, on basic level services are free after you have to pay some fee.

(2) Google Docs
Google docs is from Google, Zoho is main competitor of Google docs. Google docs are part of Google apps. Google is working on docs to improve it, Google provides document, presentation and spreadsheet.

(4) Thinkfree

Thinkfree is one of famous online office suite and web productivity tool. Thinkfree is based on Java JVM. When I was opening word document it was taking some time. Document, spreadsheet, presentations are main tools of Thinkfree and you can create HTML pages also that is like simple word document creation. You can share your documents with world and you can use other’s shared documents.

(5) Ajax13

(6) Peepel
Peepel provides spreadsheet and writer, and peepel is really stylish to work with, you can work in same window with spreadsheet and writer and all other peepel accessories.

(7) Live Documents
Live documents is from Hot mail creator Sabeer Bhatia, live document is based on Adobe Flash, and it is simple and powerful. This suite provides only writer, spreadsheet and presentations, but I think these three are most important and should be together.
