Twitter has now similar importance to Facebook and Google or it is more important because it is your universal bookmarking site. So it is important to take a backup of all your tweets.  For two reasons you should backup your tweets. One any time your account can be hacked and your data can be trashed and Twitter has a limit for your updates.

This is only for Twitter backup. The service name is friend backup. It is not for your tweet backup but it is for friends backup, after authenticating your account , data will be exported in CSV file. There is no surety of the service it will work or not.

I think this one the best for twitter backup because it is free and secure. The service provides good option for what to backup or what you want to backup. You can backup your friends, followers, favorites, your tweets, direct messages or everything.
