There are many packages also you can choose to your needs. Some tools works remotely and some you have to implement in your blog or website. Some analytic tools are based on log files. To get the statistics of daily or monthly visits and page views.

Google Analytics is most famous analytics software or program and it is 100% free for any website. If you are using this then you do not have to buy any commercial program for web analytics solution.

Woopra
Woopra is real time web tracking and analysis tool. But this is not online so you have to download and install it. It is free but I do not know if completely. Free version is for website that is getting less than 30 K monthly page views.

Sitemeter
You can use sitemeter basic for your needs. It is free but you can upgrade it. It shows from where your visitors are coming and where they are going from your website.

It is also 100% free, you can get detailed statistics of 20K visits. You can use hidden tracker so visitors won’t be able to see it.

W3counter
It is also free and easy to understand statistics of your site. It provides real-time statistics. If you get daily up to 5K page views, you can use it freely, for more page views you have to go pro.

Statcounter
It is also an invisible tracker. It is free for 250,000 monthly page views.

Mochibot
It is free at this time, but can add premium services in future. To see statistics you need adobe slash payer installed in your browser.

Getclicky
This is also free but if your site is getting more than 200K page views daily you should contact them before registering.

Extremetracking
As they say it is completely free, you can track visits and page views by hours, day, week and month.

Gostats
Free service is very good; if you want you can go for pro for more detailed statistics.

Ritecounter
It is also free; there is no pro account so that is very good. Still you can get good statistics about your sites and visitors.

Onestatfree
It is also free; they have professional web analytic service also. With free account you can get to know visits and page views, who visited your site, popular pages. You can get analytics hours, days, weeks, months, quarters and years they are particularly active, and this is all password protected.

Ewebcounter
You can get free statistics in real-time. It is free for 150,000 monthly page views.

Feedburner
Feedburner is now a service of Google, it is also free as above mentioned Google analytics, it is used for feed delivery to your inbox, but it also provides some analytics.

Ewebanalytics
It is also free but there is no mention of pro plans, so I can’t say how much they give free of cost. But you can get unique visitors, returning visitors, pageviews, conversions, referrers, keywords, bounce rates, traffic history, average click-paths, entrance pages, exit pages, browsers, origins, and much more in real-time.

Alexa
Alexa is remote analysis tool, so you do not have to install any code in your site. But you can get your website rank, bounce rate, page views, search rates, keywords etc.

Compete
Compete also tracks your site remotely and you do not have to install and code, however now you can install a code in your site, to get that code you have to login in compete. They provide pro services so you cannot get detailed statistics about site without pro they also provides ranking of your site as Alexa does. And most important it tracks only US visitors.

Comscore
Comscore is also free but it does not give so many statistics for your site, it shows you US visitors but you can your visitors from all other counties even cities.

Piwik
Piwik is an open source and Google Analytics alternative, but you have to install it on your own server.

Jawstats
It is also free and open source, and you can install it on your own server. To use it you have to install Awstats . You can get it here.

Tracewatch
It is also free, and provides real-time statistics.

Crawltrack
It is also free and you have to install it on your server to use it. It shows you 404 error and hacking attempts also.

Quate Grape
It is also open source. So you have to install it on your server.

Snoop
There is no mention of free or chargeable but should be free, you can download and install it on your computer (Mac and Windows). To use this service you have create an account.

I haven't tried the other free web analytics tool, I once tried Google Analytics, aside from it's free, it is like the most trusted since it is from Google. This can really provide you accurate statistics.

I am also using Google Analytics, and some other tools also as WP-Stats.
