21 Tips to Become a Successful Blogger

I am starting this topic with a question in mind “What is a blogger?”
I do not know what people think about a blogger but what I think about a blogger I am going to tell you. I think a blogger is not just a blogger but it is much more than that, S(he) is a writer, a programmer, search engine optimizer, a designer, an online entrepreneur , a businessman, an artist, a musician, a singer, a millionaire, a lover, a dreamer, a daddy, a son, a husband, a wife, a sister or a mother.

Becoming a successful blogger is not easy but if you follow some rules take care of some important things you can become successful or no one can stop you becoming successful. The blogging industry is full of bloggers like baby boomers but people know them who are successful. You should be thinking a successful blogger should be having so much energy and should be working 24 hours of a day but this absolutely wrong, a successful works regularly and wisely.

You will find so many articles on this subject but I have my own thoughts and experience. I do not guaranty that this article will make you successful but if you follow some of simple rules for 6 months that I am going to discuss you will be already successful.

(1) Start it with your domain:
If you are doing blogging things to learn it you can start it with free WordPress or Blogger and write guest posts on other blogs but if you serious and want to make your career in blogging register a killer domain first, where you buy your hosting they can register a domain for you and would not take any additional setup fees for it. Bluehost provides one free domain registration for how long you host your domain with them.

(2) Post Daily:
A successful blogger never make a gap in his blogging or he posts daily. A post can be long or short but he posts daily. Daily blog posting will help you in many ways. Readers will get daily something new on your blog to read and discuss. Your blog will become content rich daily.

(3) Post Quality:
Many bloggers write daily but their posts never attract readers or search engines. Quality is one that is above all. If you make some mistakes or sometimes could write an article or something is missing that can be handled but quality needs perspiration because this helps you to make a rock solid foundation.

(4) Stick with a niche:
If you want to become a successful blogger in six months you have to start your blog with a niche in your mind. If you are interested in blogging first you have to find which niche is the best for you, after choosing a niche stick with that. If you are not a team of bloggers or you are one many army you must start it with a niche after you can make wider it.

(5) Learn search engine optimization:
Learning SEO is most important for any blogger because you are a good writer but you cannot become a successful blogger without SEO knowledge.

(6) Learn good English:
If something is missing me that is good English knowledge, I understand almost what I read online but when I write I make grammatical mistakes. I will improve it. If you want to blog for money making good English knowledge is must.

(7) Read more write less:
To post daily, to post quality to stick with your niche you need to read daily read more. You have to read and study your niche. As you want to blog on blogging read articles on blogging and learn its pros and cons. Before writing any article you should study.

(8) Look forward, Look backward:
What you have done in previous months in look backward and what you want to do now in coming months in look forward. You have to keep an eye on every happening of your niche.

(9) Learn from everyone:
If you are on a niche still you have to look for other niche, study them or read other blogs that are in not in your niche and figure out what is missing in you. You can apply those ideas with your niche. You can learn from established bloggers, new bloggers because every blog and every blogger is unique. You can choose from the best.

(10) Make a difference:
If a blogger wrote an article on how to make money online? Same day after two three hours you also published a post How to make money online? That is bad because you are not a news publisher. You must make a difference from my opinion. Making a difference can be in many ways in writing style, presentation schema, from a different opinion and purpose. I have seen many blogs are publishing same similar in same day on same topic. This mean you completely rely on your competitor.

(11) Respond your comments:
If you write posts you will get comments do not forget to reply them.

(12) Be an early adopter:
Do not stick with what you are, always keep passionate yourself for new trends, find them and follow them first. Always try to take your blog at next level.

(13) Do not try cheap ideas to get indexed in search engines:
Many bloggers try to get benefit from blindness of search engines but one thing you have to remember readers have an eye so they can’t be blind. Google like search engines first give priority to URL for submitted query and after the title of a web page. Many bloggers write a meaningful title including killer keywords but if you would not include meaningful information in your article it will hurt your blog.

(14) Do not try cheap ideas to make money with your blog:
If you work hard and work regular, write quality posts you will make money without any extra efforts. So selling links, selling affiliates, paid reviews or making your readers emotional blackmail to to but something using your link is bad if you are a new blogger.

(15) Use a premium theme:
This is not so much important tips but if you can spend money for domain registration and hosting you can spend some dollars for a premium theme. I am still using a free theme but I have edited to make it premium because I have basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, graphic designing and some knowledge of playing with codes, however I am not a coder. A premium theme can be customized easily and have many custom features. However buying a premium theme is not highly recommended you can buy it after six months.

(16) Create necessary Pages:
When you start your blog writing daily quality posts is good but if you would not create other pages that is not good for longer time so some of important pages you should create.
1. About:
In this page tell the world who are you, add detailed information in this page including your photo, profession, social identities, interest etc.
About page contain two kind of information: (1) About owner or the blogger (2) about blog or why your blog stands for.
2. Contact: Contact page should be separate from about page.
3. Advertise: You would not start getting advertising inquiry but a page for advertising is good.
4. Become a author or write for us:
After creating this page you would not get so many guest post request but if you will create this page it will not hurt you.
5. Disclaimer, discloser and privacy:
These are also important pages so you should consider to create them.

(17) Make your blog social:
In this part you should provide RSS links and email subscription for your posts so will be able to subscribe it. Place social media icons with your profile link as your YouTube channel link, twitter profile, Facebook and Flickr profile etc.

(18) Always learn new things and skills:
To keep yourself motivated and inspired learn something new, you are a blogger but if you can have a hand in CSS, HTML, Graphic designing and if you can try to learn JAVA script and PHP that will be much helpful. I have not learned JAVA script and PHP so I always feel that there is something missing in me as a blogger.

(19) Develop effective communication Skills:
It will help you so much to become a successful blogger because it can fill if something is missing in your writing skill. Communication skills include powerful presentation skill, how you respond to comments, how you reply your emails and how you leave a comment on other blogs and how you behave on social networking sites etc.

(20) Develop writing skills:
Many bloggers says a blogger is a blogger form his birth and he does not has to learn anything only he has to apply but I don’t think so and I suggest to all my friends not to think that. Not only blogging or writing if you are born with some art skills as poetry writing or painting and drawing but if do not make any of them perfect by regular practice you will lost your skills that you born with. If you have not born with writing skill still you can become a good writer and get a good name and fame, you can learn and develop writing skill and accomplish your goal by regular practice and passion.

(21) Do R “n” D, learn from your previous made mistakes and be patient:
Without failure no one can become successful, if you become successful with any failure you would never understand the importance and the price of success. So if you not succeed do not give it up but take it easy, find your faults and correct them. You can learn a lot more from your mistakes and failure; no one is in the world that did not made a mistakes so take your mistakes and failures as an opportunity.
You did everything what I suggested but still you could not succeed not give it up, always try your best, you will become a successful blogger because changes take some time to show their effects.
