With instant messengers (IM) you can send direct message online to your friends. Mostly people use this for chatting. It is useful for network communication. If you like to make friends you already will be using Instant Messengers as Live Messenger or Yahoo Messenger. Each messenger has some different features.

This post is dedicated for instant messengers Aka IMs. One thing you have to remember you must have to sign up or open an account to use instant messengers.

Every messenger has one basic use is to send text messages.

Now there are two kinds of Instant Messengers one you have to install in computer and other is online version as yahoo and Gtalk you can use in inbox. In this post all messengers are popular.

AIM Express

It is from AOL Inc. This has many features like life streaming, side by side display. You do not have to download it.

AOL Instant Messenger
This is also from AOL Inc. This is a downloadable version. So you can download and install it. You can get in touch in with your friends whether they are on Facebook or Twitter.

Google Talk (Gtalk)

Gtalk is from Google , I am using this one, it simple but powerful and feature rich, it supports file sending and it is very lite. You can download video and voice plugin also.

This messenger is a feature of Gmail. You can find this in your sidebar of Gmail inbox.

ICQ

ICQ is known as “I seek you”. This messenger is one of the oldest and most famous. In latest version of this program you can get updates from Facebook and Twitter. You share pictures with friends.

This do not require any download or installation jus go, because it is web based.

Meebo

This is completely web based and very convenient. This is second generation of Instant messengers. You can download Meebo notifier on product page of website. You can login to yahoo or GTalk from Meebo.

Skype and MySpace IM

You can get MySpace IM with Skype. You can search MySpace or web rightly form your IM. Skype has free and business version of it. You can make free calls, video calls and Instant Messaging.

Windows Live Messenger

Windows Live Messenger is now a part of Windows Live Services, so when installing this messenger you can install other features also as mail, writer, photo gallery, movie maker etc.

Yahoo Messenger

This is first messenger, I used, and probably most famous in India. You can get latest updates from Yahoo, Flickr, Twitter and more. It also provides improved language support.
